Dokploy, installed for you.

Kule installs Dokploy on your server with the official install script, connects to the panel without opening a browser and tracks its version. Dokploy itself stays unchanged; you can log in to its panel any time.

Before you start

  • A server added to Kule. If you don’t have one yet, start with the Hetzner, DigitalOcean or other providers guide.
  • At least 2 GB of memory and 30 GB of disk: the minimum Dokploy itself recommends.
  • Free ports 80, 443 and 3000. The Dokploy install doesn’t start if one of them is taken; Kule checks this up front.

1What Kule installs

After the protections, Kule installs Docker, Docker Swarm and Dokploy, in that order. Docker is installed with get.docker.com, as Dokploy’s own script does, and held at its version so an unexpected package update doesn’t change it. Dokploy is installed with its official install script.

curl -fsSL https://get.docker.com | sh
apt-mark hold docker-ce docker-ce-cli docker-ce-rootless-extras
docker swarm init --advertise-addr 203.0.113.24
curl -fsSL https://dokploy.com/install.sh -o /tmp/dokploy-install.sh
ADVERTISE_ADDR=203.0.113.24 sh /tmp/dokploy-install.sh
✓ http://203.0.113.24:3000 is responding

Each step first checks whether it has already been done. If the connection drops, the Mac goes to sleep or Kule quits, the setup resumes from the step where it stopped; it doesn’t start over.

2Connection

Once the panel starts responding, Kule creates Dokploy’s admin account and an API key without opening a browser, using Dokploy’s own sign-up and key endpoints. You don’t need to open the panel and create an account.

Creating admin account and API key…
✓ Key saved to Keychain · panel connected

Both the API key and the admin password stay in this Mac’s Keychain; they never pass through the interface, and Kule itself makes the requests to Dokploy. You can see the admin password in the last step of the setup with Şifreyi göster (Show password) and use it to log in to the Dokploy panel.

If Dokploy is already installed on the server, Kule doesn’t reinstall it and doesn’t touch its account; it only creates an API key for itself and connects. Kule works with Dokploy v0.25.0 and later; with an older version, it tells you to update Dokploy first.

3Panel port 3000

The Dokploy panel opens at http://203.0.113.24:3000. Kule’s firewall only allows SSH, 80 and 443, but Docker opens the ports it publishes to the outside by bypassing ufw. So even though 3000 looks closed in the firewall, the panel can be reached from outside.

Kule doesn’t hide this: on the Sunucular (Servers) screen, the firewall row shows the warning Panel portu 3000 dışarı açık (Panel port 3000 is open to the outside). The panel login is protected by the strong password Kule created.

4Keeping it up to date

The Güncellemeler (Updates) screen shows the running Dokploy version for each server and, if a new version is out, puts the two side by side. Kule reads this from Dokploy’s own update check and performs the update with Dokploy’s own update process.

Dokploy API · settings.updateServer
✓ Dokploy updated

During the update, the panel is unreachable for about a minute; your apps keep running. The same screen also lists the server’s pending system packages and unused Docker images. If automatic security updates are on, the server itself installs security patches every day.
